A night at the ballet calls for something a little different. We recently went to see Dracula at Ballet West here in Salt Lake City, and naturally, I wanted an outfit that felt appropriate for the occasion. Formal dresses aren't really part of my wardrobe, so I decided to take a different approach.
I went with a little black dress, sheer tights, pointed heels, and a rather dramatic faux fur coat. I've always loved getting dressed for an evening out, especially when there's somewhere special to go. It doesn't necessarily mean wearing something formal or buying a new dress. Sometimes it's about taking pieces you already own and styling them in a way that feels a little more intentional.
The ballet itself made for a lovely evening. I loved seeing a darker, more theatrical story brought to life through dance, especially one as familiar as Dracula. It felt like the perfect excuse to dress up, spend an evening downtown, and enjoy something a little outside the ordinary.
